1. What types of printing services do you offer?
Mainly Digital printing but we do have also access to Offset printing, Large format printing and 3D printing
2. What file formats do you accept for printing?
We mainly accept PDF but we don't limit ourselves to , JPG, TIFF, PNG, AI, EPS, PSD we handle most of current file extensions in the market.
3. What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
The nature of some print products are tailored to have a minimum number of units to be produced to maximize the pricing, for example will be able to print 50 business cards however the cost and labour to print 50 units vs. print 250 units will be comparable the same, for this reason we tailor a MOQ of 250 for business cards, for items like comic books or novels we can start producing 1 (one unit) however the same rule will apply as cost of producing one will be comparable to producing 10. 4. How can I submit my artwork for printing?

5. What file resolution is required for high-quality prints?
The recommended DPI's (dots per inch) are 300 or 600, if you choose to supply a file with more than 300 DPI's for print a commercial comic, will not a make a difference in the quality of the print.
6. Can I see a proof before printing?
Of course YES! For promo materials such as business cards, flyers and such you can request the digital proof ONLY , and you will receive the photos of the item for your approval. For jobs that include books, novels, comic books, specialty prints or TPB's we do supply samples under the following terms:
FREE Digital proof for approval for any job under 100 units, we will produce a sample copy , take some photos and send them to you by email.
Printed Proof (cost of shipping need to be covered by the client) and only to be shipped to the client when the total or at least a 50% of the job has been paid, we will produce a sample copy , take some photos and send them to you by email.
7. How long will it take to complete my order?
Here at Studiocomix AKA SCPress we do understand that time is important, for this reason we have very accessible turnaround times for you:
Same day Printing (print as you wait): Most of the times will be able to complete certain products the same day like Business cards, please keep in mind that it might have an additional cost, reach out to us for immediate confirmation at: printshop@studiocomix.com
Next day printing: we offer a selected number of services but we can accommodate for next day printing, please keep in mind that it might have an additional cost, reach out to us for immediate confirmation at: printshop@studiocomix.com
The average turnaround time will be between 5 to 7 business days (Saturday and Sunday do not count) after the sample proof has been confirmed by the client, shipping time is not considered in the completion time.
8. What are your payment methods?
We accept most of credit card payments in our website, we do accept, Visa or MasterCard , at our store front service desk we do also accept interact EMT (E-transfer), Cheques or cash.
9. Do you offer graphic design services?
The Studiocomix AKA SCPress team is build of Graphic designers, Illustrators, and artist with a high drive in the arts filed, as well we have long roster of artist in our extended team that can design a logo all the way to draw an letter your very own comic, if you need more details of this service please reach out to us for more details at: printshop@studiocomix.com
10. What types of paper and materials do you use?
We do have access to thousands of different kinds of paper types, from the most common in the commercial print industry to some specialty papers, having access to all this goodness do not make the price of all paper the same, some types of paper are more accessible in price thank others, in other words we might be able to match the book that you need replicated, we might not be able to match the price unless we have print it at your shop before.
11. Can you print on custom sizes or unusual materials?
Custom sizes are our specialty as a Boutique print shop we strive in originality and creativity for our clients, so we can handle your regular commercial sizes, and will be glad to help you with your creative sizes and shapes.
12. Do you offer eco-friendly printing options?
We are always looking for the future, for this reason we strive in using FSC certified materials, When the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certifies a paper, means that is made of responsibly sourced wood fiber. FSC certification is an important standard for the print industry. It indicates that the forests from which we harvest wood fiber are managed in a way that reduces their environmental impact. The FSC standard ensures landowners and wood products manufacturers use responsible forestry practices that: Protect water quality, Avoid the use of highly hazardous chemicals, Protect valuable woodlands, Protect the rights of indigenous people and local communities, Prevent the loss of natural forest cover, Protect forest ecology and wildlife habitats among other more.
13. What is your pricing structure?
Mainly in the print industry the volume of units will directly impact the price, we do have accessibility to "print -on-Demand" , our pricing will decrease in large volumes, we are very accessible in building for you a "deal" if you want to order multiple items in the same order, we do have current partners and programs that we have implemented currently where our clients get up to CAD$100.00 or more in print credit, please let us know if you want to bundle up your order to get better pricing.
14. Do you offer delivery or shipping?
We offer delivery through our local service provider (Canada Post) however we do also ship with Purolator, UPS or CanPar, for all international parcels we include Tracking number, you can also pick up your order at any time at our store front service desk during business hours.
15. What happens if Iām not satisfied with my order?
Achieving good print quality can depend on several factors, including the files resolution, the quality of the original files being printed, and the number of dots the printer can produce. Other components, such as the quality of the toner, kind of paper or ink, can also impact print quality, Since printing is a custom activity that in most of the times is tailored only for you or your consumer market, once a print job is completed in most of the times there is no way to correct it but re-print it, please keep in mind that all custom printed jobs at Studiocomix Press aka SCPress have a NO REFUND policy, For this reason we encourage our clients to take the appropriate steps before production (like getting confirmation of the sample) to ensure that you will see what you are going to get. Our team will strive in supervising the quality control of the printed jobs. 16. How should I prepare my files for printing?
There is a list of items to look into before proceeding to print a job, the most common ones are crop marks and/or bleeded images, there is a long list of resources online that extensively explain these two, however every job is different and tailored to your custom request, for this reason we invite you to contact us at: printshop@studiocomix.com as this is a case-by-case basis procedure.
17. Do you offer business card printing?
Since 2024 we have implemented our new service "same Day Business Cards" that allow you to have your business cards printed the same day for an extra fee (2-3 hrs. wait time) as well you can have our regular service of printed business cards with a turn around of next day or 2 business days, please contact us right away to: printshop@studiocomix.com
18. Can you handle large-scale printing projects?
We do !!! And we do it all the time and that will not stop you for getting the best service if you get to print one page of paper or one hundred thousand graphic novels.
